Ammerman Consulting was founded in 2000 by Jay N. Ammerman to build on 30 years experience specializing in information technology and facilities management in the for-profit and not-for-profit arenas. With an MBA in finance and organizational behavior, Mr. Ammerman has applied business, technology, and mathematical problem solving skills to launch and manage business ventures, Internet and e-commerce applications, financial operations, and legal technology products and services. He has professional management experience serving on and working with Boards of Directors, Officers, and Committees to develop and implement strategic business and operating plans.
Ammerman Consulting offers clients seasoned management experience derived from a variety of organizational settings. The founder has served as (1.) Executive Vice President and Chief of Operations of NetLink21, Inc., an Internet start-up company; (2.) Associate Executive Director of the American Bar Association (ABA), where he had senior management responsibility for legal technology, information systems, and facilities operations (commercial real estate, purchasing, printing services, office services, and mail services); (3.) Executive Vice President of the Lawyers Communication Network (LCN), a joint business venture with Data Broadcast Company; (4.) Assistant Manager of Systems and Programming for VaporCorporation, a manufacturing firm; and (5.) President of the Hyde Park Co-op Federal Credit Union. In addition he is a registered expert with TASA (Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys) and has consulted for the National Judicial College and Meadville/Lombard Theological Seminary.
